General Information
Harirak Forest Park located in Kok Thong Sub-district, Nam Man Sub-district and Siew Sub-district in Muang District, Loei Province; situated in Koke Phu Lek National Reserved Forest. Referring to the ministerial regulation, issue 749 (1975), it covered the area of 8,250 rais approximately. The Royal Forest Department declared this forest park on September 17, 1990.
Topography
In the central Harirak Forest Park, Irrigation Department constructed the Huay Nam Man Reservoir. Its northern upper is low mountain, scattered with small trees. South part of it is high and slope mountain. Its about 300-500 metres above the average sea
level.
Flora and Fauna
Two Forest types found are Non-Deciduous Forest such as Dry Evergreen Forest, and Deciduous Forest such as Mixed Deciduous Forest. Around the moist valleys and streams, Evergreen Forest will be found. Flora found consists of Irvingia malayana, Pterocarpus macrocarpus, Xylia xylocarpa, Afzelia xylocarpa, Lagerstroemia tomentosa, etc. Ground trees are Dendrocalamus strictus, Giantochloa albociliata, Thyrsostachys siamesis, Cephalostachyum pergracile,
etc.
Tourist Attractions
Reservoir located in Central Harirak Forest Park provides beautiful view. Its not far from the
town.

How to go?
By Car
There are 2 routes accessible to the forest park:
From Rai Muang Village junction, at the milestone no. 2 (Loei-Petchabun road), it takes about 7 kms to Hua Ngan, and drive further for 3 kms you will reach temporary station of Harirak Forest Park (Pong Bia)
From Muang District, you can take Loei-Petchabun road to the milestone no. 3, then take turn and drive for about 3 kms to the forest park. This point is 14 kms far from Muang District.
