General Information
Phu Pra Forest Park located in Tah Khan To and Yang Um Sub-district, Tah Khan To District, Kalasin Province, situated in Pah Dong Moon National Reserved Forest, covered the area of about 6,200 rais. Its about 4 kms far from Tah Khan To District Office. The Royal Forest Department declared this forest park on October 1, 1973.
Topography
Low mountains consisting of some plateaus and high slop cliff, natural water flows all the time, emerging rocks and high and low stone grounds.
Flora and Fauna
Dry Deciduous Dipterocarp Forest is mostly found, governed about 50% of the overall area. Dwarf trees have been growing. Flora found are Shorea obtusa, Shorea, Siamensis, Diptercarpus tuberculatus and Xylia
xylocarpa.
Dry Evergreen Forest is found mostly along the stream bank, covered 25% of the area. Its dwarfed forest. Flora found are Hopea sp., Dipterocarpus macrocarpus, Xylia xylocarpa, Lagerstroemia cochinchinensis and so on Deciduous Dipterocarp Forest grown among the Dry Deciduous Dipterocarp Forest and Dry Evergreen Forest, covered about 25% of the area. Lower plant species generally found are various vine
species.
Fauna found are wild pigs, monkeys, Trachypithecus sp., Malayan Flying lemur, squirrels, Indo-chinese ground squirrels, jungle fowls, common palm civets, chamelons, mongooses, snakes and Indian
monitors.

How to go?
By Car
Take the highway from Kranuan District, Khon Khaen Province to Tha Khan To District. It takes about 44 kms long to arrive the Phu Pra Forest Park.
Take the Highway from Yang Trat District, Kalasin Province get through Muag Lek District, Krung Sri District and Nong Sang Sub-district. It takes about 65 kms from Tah Khan To District to Phu Pra Forest Park.
Take Highway from Nam Pong District, Khon Khaen Province and then drive through Tah Khan To District to Phu Pra Forest Park. It takes about 75 kms.
