General Information
Phu Pha Wua Forest Park located in Na Krai Village, Kok Kong Village, Kud Wah Sub-district, Kushi Narai District, Kalasin province, situated in Dong Dan Yae National Reserved Forest, covered the area of 4,000 rais. The Royal Forest Department declared this forest Park on February 20, 1996.
Topography
Its a mountain range, approximately 200-300 metres above average sea level. Theres a cliff or area called the edge of the earth. You can appreciate the panorama landscape and scenery. There are Tham Men Mountain and Ma Toom Mountain where are about 300-400 metres height and are watershed area of Tad Yao Waterfall and Tad Sung Waterfall. The area nearby the waterfall comprised with emerging rocks and stone
ground.
Flora and Fauna
Forest type of the Phu Pha Wua Mountain, Phu Tham Men Mountain and Phu Matoom Mountain is Dry Deciduous Dipterocarp Forest. Flora found are Shorea Obtusa, Shorea Siamensis, Irvingia malayana and Dipterocarpus macrocarpus. Forest type around the Tad Sung Waterfall and Ched Sii Waterfall is the Mixed Deciduous
Forest.
Mostly fauna found are small animals such as palm civets, rabbits, snakes and various bird
species.
Ched Sii Waterfall
located in Lam Huay Chang, Khum Khii Yang Village. Along the stream overlaid small and big emerged rocks. Stream flows almost throughout the year. The waterfall surrounded by the Mixed Deciduous
Forest.
Tad Yao Waterfall
located in Huay Deang Stream. Its one storey waterfall laid along the stream. There is smooth stone ground. Water flows on this ground looks like slider. Water flows almost throughout the year and flows heaviest in the rainy
season.
Tad Sung Waterfall
located in Huay Deang Stream. Its one storey waterfall laid along the stream. There are various sizes of stone overlaid along the stream. The waterfall surrounded by various flora species. Water flows almost throughout the year and flows heaviest in the rainy
season.
Lan Hin Nor Stone Ground
its characteristic is consisting of various sizes and shapes of rock erected 50-80 metres above the
ground.
The Edge of the Earth
located on Phu Pha Wua Mountain Ridge, about 300 metres height. Its east and south is high cliff where magnificent panoramic scenery can be
viewed.

How to go?
By Car
From the Kalasin town, you can drive 42 kms long on the Kalasin-Sakon Nakorn Road to Somdet District interjunction, turn left and drive further for about 38 kms to Kusi Narai District interjunction. From here, drive forward to Mukdaharn Province. It takes about 15 kms long from Mukdaharn to Na Krai Village and about 2.5 kms from Na Krai to Phu Pha Wua Forest Park.
