General Information
Pha Tub Cave Forest Park located in Pha Tub Village, Pha Singha District, Nan Province, covered the area of 582 rai. The Royal Forest Department declared this forest park on October 1, 1978.
Topography
Its a stony mountain range. Its north southward included Pha Tub Cave, Tham Phra Khao Pha Sang Mountain, Boh Nam Thip Mountain, Pha Phak Hurg, Mon Ma Fang Mountain and Na Pha Tam Mountain, etc. Those mountains connected to each other to be a mountain range. From Pha Tub Cave southwards to Pha Phak Hurg Mountain and turn back to Mon Ma Fang Mountain connected to Na Pha Tam Mountain and others are like labyrinth. This character causes forest grown in space among mountains where is called Nong Nan by local
people.
Flora and Fauna
It is Evergreen Forest and Mixed Deciduous Dipterocarp Forest. Flora found included Teak, PAYUNG, Lagerstroemia cuspidata, Xylia xylocarpa, Ardisia sp., laurel, and Morinda sp., including herbs and various vine species packed grown as ground plants.
Fauna found are serow, wild pig, barking deer, mouse deer, jungle fowl, squirrel, palm civet, snake, bear and various bird
species.
Nature Trail
Along the nature trail, worth a study and rare flora species existed, for example CHAN PHA and various Endrobrium sp. Nature trail started from the entrance to Bor Nam Thip Cave and from forest park head quarter to the view
point.
View Point
located on Pha Sang Mountain, southern connected to Bor Nam Thip Cave. You can clearly see the view around and the town of Muang Nan
District.
Jedi Keaw Cave
its a small cave. The front of the cave has Jedi (stupa) stone-liked been
situated.
Khon Cave
its long like log. There are splendid stalactites inside the cave and theres a cliff existed at the entrance up to the
cave.
Phra Cave
its a huge cave, large ground, covered the area of about 50 qms, hole existed on top of the cave. From the other side of the cave allows wind and light access into the cave. Beautiful stalactites
existed.
Bor Nam Thip Cave
Theres 30 qms wide-hall within, cave hole above allows the sun shines in and stalactites decorated around the cave. One side of it consisted of valley with oval shaped pool filled with water throughout the year. The water is believed as holy
water.
Nong Nan Forest
Its Evergreen Forest. Various flora species found differs from endemic flora species of Nan. They are naturally systematic grown, shady and
beautiful.

How to go?
By Car
From Bangkok to Prae Province, you can take the Highway No.101 to reach Muang District, Nan Province. It takes about 115 kms. From Nans town, take the Highway No. 1080 and drive forward about 10 kms, you will find the junction which is about 200 metres far from Pha Tub Cave Forest Park
