General Information
Khao Chao Bor Thong Waterfall National Park, located in Village No 2, Thart Thong Sub-district, Bor Thong District, Cholburi Province, lies in the Conservative Forest which is a part of Paklong Takian National Forest Reserve in Thart Thong Sub-district, Bor Thong District, Cholburi Province and Pardang-Chumnumklang National Forest Reserve in Hangsung Sub-district, Nongyai Sub-district, Nongyai District, Cholburi Province. It is 19,437 Rais (31.09 square kilometers). The area has been declared a national park by Royal Forest Department since March 2, 1987.
Topography
Khao Chao Bor Thong Waterfall National Park is a complicated mountain range, lies up and down from north to south, which consists of Khao Chao Mountain Range, Klouy Mountain, U-numphu Mountain, Pongket Mountain, Cha-ngok Mountain, Nongpaknam Mountain, and Anggaden Mountain. Almost all the mountains are steepthe slopes are more than 35 degrees, and have boulders and rocks surfaced
everywhere.
Flora and Fauna
Most of the areas are mixed forest included with a few rainforest. The forest in this area is used to be productive. It is the source of streams of five waterfalls such as Sai Thong Waterfall, Khoa Kang Pla Waterfall, Hri Phi Waterfall, and two unnamed waterfalls.
Plants in this area are makhaa, Burmese ebony, kapok tree, otaheite gooseberry, Lagersteroemia, and hog plum for examples.
Animals found are common palm civet, land monitor, Javon mangoose, and many kinds of reptile and
bird.
Lan Hin Chom View (Rock Pad for
Sight-seeing)
Rock Pad for Sight-seeing or Lan Hin Chom View is a good view point for exploring the very beautiful sceneries of the park. Travelers can also travel to neighboring area including mountains surrounded, for example, Piangpuk Cave which is a small cave and geologically important
area.
The Source of the Water
When it is raining, the water flows and percolates to the ground slowly; it is absorbed by organic matters, the ground, and the root of tree. Until the absorption is enough then the water is released and flows to gather on small channels which become a stream flown to the
river.

By Car Khao Chao Bor Thong Waterfall National Park is located 50 kilometers from Cholburi. Use Cholburi-Baanbung Road, Baanbung-Klang Road, turn left at Nongpai-Kaw Junction (New Nongpru Market) to the road number 331, turn right at Nernmoke Market Junction to Nernmoke-Tubrang Road, go further to Nerndindang Village, turn right and use 2-kilometer laterite-road to enter the park,.
